European Smart Grid Conference 2013 - 3 October 2013 / Brussels, Belgium
The European Smart Grid Conference 2013 will take place on 3 October 2013 at the Renaissance Hotel in Brussels, Belgium.
The event will be dedicated to intelligent energy networks. This will be an opportunity to discuss the social and economic benefits that smart grids could bring in the future. Discussions will also focus on spectrum and bandwidth, especially within the context of the ‘Internet of Things’ and smarter homes. The conference aims also at assessing standardization and issues of grid security and stability.
The conference is organised by Forum Europe. Discussions will be led by representatives of the European Commission (DG Connect), the European Parliament, International Business Machines Corporation (IBM), the European Committee for Standardization (CEN), the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization (CENELEC), the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) and the Office of Gas and Electricity Market (OFGEM).
