iMed Conference
The iMed Conference will take place from 11 to 13 October in Lisbon, Portugal.
The conference will comprise four sessions. The first is dedicated to gene therapy, and in particular the development of robust cell manufacturing platforms, and the use of viral vectors in utero and in neonatal gene therapy. The second session will deal with dementia, considered one of the main challenges to modern medicine. The third session will cover the different options for treating cardiac pathology, while the last session will address the potential next steps in the treatment of HIV.
The iMed conference is organised by the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the NOVA University of Lisbon. It is supported by the European Commission and the Government of Portugal.
Discussions will be led by Nobel Prize winners in Physiology, in Medicine and in Chemistry, as well as representatives from the American Society for Clinical Investigation, the University of California Los Angeles and the Institut Pasteur.
