Marie Curie Actions Conference at Euroscience Open Forum (ESOF)

10 - 11 July 2012
Dublin, Ireland
Event website: http://esof2012.org/about/marie-curie-actions-conference-2012/

Dear Marie Curie Alumnus,

Have you heard of the Marie Curie Actions Conference at ESOF? ESOF is the largest European fair gathering researchers and scientists from all disciplines. This year ESOF will take place in Dublin, Ireland between 11-15 July and the European Commission is organising a satellite event on 10-11 July 2012 for its current and former Marie Curie fellows.

Why should you join us? The Marie Curie Actions Conference will give you the unique opportunity to network with some 400 researchers from all nationalities and all disciplines and to acquire skills to further your career development.

We will indeed encourage you to play an active role and share your knowledge with the other participants whilst giving you a sense of belonging to the Marie Curie Actions Community.

The conference will provide you with some training in areas that can be critical for any researcher such as "intellectual property rights", "getting your name in the newspaper", "exploiting social media", "how to draft applications to EU calls" and "speaking confidently to a non-scientific audience". And because we know that you are also concerned about the future, we will provide you with some insights on the future Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions under Horizon 2020.

Importantly, registration to the Marie Curie Actions Conference also includes entry to the main ESOF, where you can meet Nobel Prize winners and specialists in your research field.

Have we convinced you yet? Then hurry up and register now, because registration closes on 15 June 2012. To register go to http://esof2012.org/about/marie-curie-actions-conference-2012. The first time you visit the site you may be prompted to enter a password. The password is esof2012mc.

Registration fees are €340. Please note that there is no funding foreseen for Marie Curie Alumni, and that you (or your organisation) would have to cover these fees along with your travel and accommodation expenses by yourself.

We very much look forward to seeing you in Dublin!

Best regards,
The Marie Curie Actions Team
