Speaker 1: Dr. Anna Schueth, 3-year-research fellowship on intravital microscopy at the Institutes of Anatomy & Biomedical Optics in Luebeck, Germany. This was followed by her PhD trajectory as Marie Curie fellow at the Department of Urology & School of Mental Health and Neuroscience (MHeNs) at Maastricht University (UM) and the Maastricht University Medical Center (MUMC+), the Netherlands. In 2020 she has received an NWO VENI grant, an important national dutch grant. She will investigate Alzheimer`s disease, Vascular dementia and prostate cancer with her industrial and clinical VENI partners.
This talk is a storytelling about Anna's personal experience in grant proposal applications. In particular, Anna will retrace all the steps from the writing to the success as a winner of the NWO VENI Talent program grant.
Speaker 2: Dr. Yuliya Shakalisava is an experienced grant writer and evaluator for the Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions of Horizon 2020. Yuliya held her own Marie Skłodowska -Curie fellowshipand is now a project coordinator at Leiden University. She has worked in multidisciplinary research teams, management and administration in The Netherlands, Ireland and France. Yuliya has extensive experience developing and writing research proposals in different disciplines.
This talk will provide practical information about the Marie Skłodowska-Curie individual fellowship among others, the application process and insightful advice on the key elements of the successful application.
