Invitaiton to European Researchs Night Vienna and Visit to MedAustron- Austrian Synchroton Accelerator

MCAA Austrian Chapter would like to invite you to join the following events
European Researchers Night Vienna program
We will have a booth and poster at the EU corner. We will present the Marie Sklodowska Curie as the first woman to win a Nobel prize and presents the her early life, her discoveries and her final days as well as her legacy. We will describe the story of her life and demonstrates how she became one of the great scientists of all the human history.
There will be special quiz for the participant and they can also earn a gift by participating in the quiz.

Visit to MedAustron
MCAA Austrian Chapter would happy to announce a collaboration with IEEE Young Professionals Austria. On behalf of both organizations, I am pleased to invite you to a tour of the synchrotron accelerator MedAustron. It is the world's sixth cancer treatment center which has the a synchrotron accelerator. Unlike conventional radiation approaches the depth of penetration of the administered radiation in the body can be precisely controlled in ion therapy
When where?
- 29 September, 2017 Fri from 18h to 20: 30h.
- MedAustron EBG, Marie Curie-Strasse 5, 2700 Wiener Neustadt . Meet at the main entrance.
- From Vienna MedAustron is accessible by train. RJ 77 to Wiener Neustadt HBF leaves at 16:58 Vienna HBF or 17:05 Vienna Meidling.
Conditions of participation
Participation is free. Please note that no travel reimbursement will be provided for the event. To participate you must register via e-mail: simon.waid@ieee.org. Deadline: September 22. Participation is limited to 40 people.
The visit takes place largely in the radiation area of MedAustron. Access is permitted only to persons who meet the following requirements:
- Over 18 years old
- Not pregnant
- Not breastfeeding
- No pacemakers
